Huret made mounting hardware for both French type (unthreaded) and Italian (threaded) dropout hangers. Most non-French builders used a threaded dropout and just speced the proper threaded mounting hardware from Huret. I think the chances that this Raleigh has an unthreaded dropout are slim to none, but if it does it can be readily tapped to standard 10x1mm threading to accept a threaded mounting bolt (actually Campy is 10x26tpi but 10x1mm works -- good luck finding a 10x26tpi tap). +++++++ In yet another of my priceless (free) bottom-feeder tips, pitch hardly matters because the back side of the Simplexes was undercut, so there was hardly much meat to thread. I always used a backing nut on these.

But, the better news was that you could get away with a 1/4" (?) iron pipe plumbing tap. They are tapered, so you better be careful not to turn too far and get the threads over-sized. But, TPI was close enough, and they used to be real cheap. :-)
