Hi everyone,

My 1957 Cerrina will soon be a bike again, but I need a couple of parts to finish the job.

Does anyone have a source of very thin cable to use for the cage tension on a Simplex Juy 543? I tried using some modern thin cable for index shifters, but that's too big in diameter to pass through the pinch bolt. For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about, this derailleur has two cables: one to shift, the other to vary the cage tension depending on what gear the derailleur is in. The two cables are joined by a pinch bolt about halfway along the chainstay.

I'm also looking for pair of clamps to hold a Coloral bottle cage to the handlebars. I used to have some 3mm thick aluminum clamps, but lost them. TA clamps should work.

Lastly, does anyone know what was used for bar plugs in France in the late fifties? Velox? Wine corks?

Thanks.
