On to a new question: I have a very nice set of GB Hiduminium brakes and am considering mounting them on my newly acquired Hobbs tandem (it came to me with 1977 Weinman 500s...).

Has anyone out there tried Hiduminiums on a tandem? Do you think they would provide enough stopping power?

+++++++ no experience with these. I have nothing but nice things to say about our experiences on early 50s tandem with Universal 68s, both with factory and Matthauser pads.
