Perhaps you should consider a custom made handlebar stem in Extra LONG size ?? :))))

I looked at it as well and wondered what it would ride like with about 18 inches of seatpost showing - finally abandoned the idea.

<< Outted already, but here's the link again for the Copper-plated Wilier-Triestina on eBay:

I've been looking at this Wilier-Triestina and wishing like hell it would grow about an inch more top tube length, but so far it hasn't responded. Beautiful bike but, alas, too short for my long torso.

I've been wondering about the statement "The bike comes directly from the team of Claudio Corti in 1986". A little bit of research shows that Corti rode for Supermercati Brianzoli in 1985 and 1986... in 1985 the bikes were Wilier-Triestina, but in 1986 Francesco Moser joined the team and brought along with him his "Moser" brand of bicycles, so it cannot be an official Brianzoli team bike from '86.

The sticker on the toptube says "Campione d'Italia Prof. 1985"... the championships would have been held in June of '85... too late for the '85 model year.

Perhaps this was a team bike from late-1985, sold off when the team switched to Moser frames in 1986? Any other thoughts.

Oh, why? Oh, why? Is that toptube too short? Oh My! Oh My! Could my torso contort? It's the copper of my dreams But too small, or so it seems Oh, why? Oh, why? Is that toptube not longer? Just an inch, and you'd see How my savings would be a "goner" Remove a few vertebrae? Perhaps that's the only way...
