Michael Allison asked:

I only read the CR digest, so I don't know if my question has been addressed. What is a source for a SR seat binding bolt with an allen nut??? The seat on my SR post keeps slipping/tilting, so I've broken 2 bolts trying to lock it down. HELP . . . !!! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The SR is too modern for me to have looked at (really!), but I have had to rassle with other 1-bolt clamps. Which I generally regard as dogmeat. A shop owner once showed me a fix for the Kalloys and similar types that would likely work well on the SR, too: If it's like them in design, just trim a piece of medium sandpaper to fit the mating surface between the two pieces, and clamp down. This gives thousands of friction points, and seems to work much better than the now-rounded grooves.

Not much to lose, anyhow -- if you can buy sandpaper in NYC. Happy to mail you samples from the wilds of northern VA. :-)
