Hi all A tip, picked up many years ago, I think from Jan Le Grande, spit on the tapered faces of the seat post and sprinkle them with grit from a sandblaster, or iron filings before replacing the cradle. Same effect as Harvey's sandpaper. I used to carry around a 35mm cassette can filled with iron filings for this purpose. This is why the old two bolt seat post was in such great demand fot trackies and sixies, no slipping. Cheers Mike Mullett In wet & windy Reading UK
