I finally too the time to read a large portion of the vol. 4, number one. Haven't heard any comments from the peanut gallery so I thought I would add my 2 cents...

This maybe best issue yet! Of course it needs to be called the Jan Heine's Vintage French Constructeur Quarterly, but what's wrong with that?

Daniel Rebour drawings are always fascinating as is the March's 1947 technical trails Herse. The test of the Gilles Berthoud bike was very topical as I had just seen his range on display at the Interbike show in Las Vegas. It will be interesting to see what sort of commercial success these bikes & gear will have, now that they will be more available in the USA through EuroAsia. This California importing company has been particularly brave in venturing into "alternative" products, including track bike stuff. This latter category has proved a sleeper that turned into a mini boom, definitely the current fad... I particularly was pleased to see the article by maestro Peter Weigle and his approach to lug carving.. Peter will be one of the seminar presenters at the '06 Cirque du Cyclisme.

S, thanks to Jan for providing this excellent magazine and I sincerely hope all of you CR folk are subscribers.. It ain't cheap but what else do we have? These mags are destined to be collectable (remember the Aeolis Butterfly, etc?)

Finally, what do we know about "cycles Tournesol" That is a new one to me. The web page is attractive but minimal. Where are they (he/she)? Who makes the steel frames? Who has one? It would be interesting to learn more............
