Were there variations in the Paris Roubaix? I had a pair that were marked "seta" (indicating silk casings) and I've never seen a pair of cottons. I got them as part of a wheel set in 1980-ish, which is about the time tubulars were being replaced by clinchers. Mine were all ribbed tread, if I recall correctly. Roubaixs are uber classic in appearance, would sit with grace on any classic bike and rode wonderfully. They were a wider tire, 27 mm sounds about right. I cried when the bike wearing these were stolen. Didn't miss the bike that much, but mourned for the tires. The few times I've seen some on eBay, they go for big bucks.

Paris-Roubaix tubulars fit between the Criterium series and the Campionato del Mondo. They run about 270 grams in the cotton casing, which was far more common during CR timeline, and almost always had a mixed tread pattern like the Criteriums. Profile was about 27 mm, and they would look very stylish on an older bike (besides riding like a dream.)
