It seems to me that the French tapes are the most difficult. I'm not sure if they have become less prone to stretching or I've gotten weaker. I recall that wrapping a set of bars with Cateye cloth tape purchased at my LBS when they were out of Tressostar was an epiphany. It stretches very easily and makes wrapping a set of bars much easier. No cramped fingers, sweating, or cursing.

So, if I can find it, black is OK and it isn't on going on a French bike, Cateye is just the ticket.
