Why would you let your cuffs get that close to the cotter pin nuts along with the chainring teeth in the first place!? Learned that's not a good idea when I was seven and started rolling up my trouser cuff so it wouldn't happen again (no not catching my cuff, but catching hell from Mom for tearing my trousers).
