Hi all, I'm curious about the various types of seatlug bolts and methods and which is considered the best. I have a few bikes that have an allen head nut and bolt that go thru the seatlug and seem to secure the seatpost very well. On a couple of other frames the seatlug itself is threaded and no nut is required. These look very clean, but I have always been leery about tightening the bolt on these too tight and stripping out the threads on the seatlug. Am I being overly paranoid about this? Are the threads in a seatlug pretty beefy so I can torque the bolt down with no worries?
