Subject: [CR]Magnum Opus on Ebay

Strange how things work out for pricing on Ebay sometimes. The 23.5" Magnum Opus that I outed to the list a few weeks ago that was listed on Ebay just sold for about what Len Ingram and I thought. When I first heard of the frame, I called Len for advice on Pricing and I thought of offering $1100 to $1500 at most. Len thought between L600-650 Pounds which is about $1100. The frame being a one owner with original sales papers from 1950, and most likely being one of the first Opus Phase Twos produced made it a good find. I finally decided not to offer on the bike as the size is just a tad big for me.

Only a few things, I feel kept the price from going much higher. First, better quality detailed photos, and second if the frame had retained it's original chrome or would have been rechromed. I talked to the owner, Bert, and I wish that I could recall the reason, but rechroming was not done, possibly because he might have concerned about the frames integrity being damaged by a rechroming.

Below is the URL to the auction page.
