OK, I've had some really great experienced folks chime in- and I wouldn't hesitate for a second calling each of them experts- Lee Berg, Jan Heine, Chuck Schmidt, Hiroshi Ichikawa, Wes Gadd, Lou Deeter, Jamie Swan, Tom Sanders, Brook Watts and Tom Dalton- I may have missed someone...
Anyway- my conclusion is that it's a very late Campy Super Record seatpost that was sold concurrently with C-Record. Although I don't feel that it made any sense, Campagnolo called it a round C-Record in their so-called No. 19 catalog.
Why (I think) it's SR:
* The deletion of the milled flutes corresponded in style as well as time in both the crankset and the seatpost * The C-Record group is aero- end of discussion * The single bolt has a hex head like SR rather than allen head like C-Record * C-Record parts had lots of shield logos all over, and this post doesn't
