I'm no expert either, and maybe it's the massive head cold I woke up with this morning but it does appear to be a lightweight bike from the 40's but I'm not convinced it is a track bike. I usually use mozilla as a browser but I was able to enlarge the pics with explorer. Even enlarged the pic aren't vary clear, the details are still obscured by the poor lighting and shadows. It's an interesting frame, pershaps one of schwinn's other high end lightweights at the time and maybe it is a paramount, but it does not have track dropouts. Although the hubs look right, the rims do not to me. They look like the rims on my 1952 schwinn travler 3 speed. The pedals are union rat traps like you'd find on a varsity as well. the bars look like they're correct and the chrome looks good, but the stem would need to be replaced rechromed. It's an interesting bike and one I would love to tinker with at the right price, which I think this one might have passed already. In my opinion there are just too many question marks to justify the purchase. But what do I know?
