Hi All, I was lucky enough to buy a pair of wheels consisting of Airlite hubs laced to 26" Conloy rims a few months ago (note that I said laced and not bespoked and definitely not Bespoked). These wheels were built and used by Ken Bird, although at the time of the auction the seller only alluded to a famous builder, which is pretty unusual considering the "telephone number prices" often attached to any item with a famous past. As you may know Ken was a mechanic on several T de F races, including Tom Simpson's last ride. I believe that Ken passed away quite recently. Cheers, Phil Easton, Cambria, CA
