Hello all,

I just won another trike on UK eBay! This was outed to the CR list some time ago. It's a 1932 Selbach racing trike [see CR under Selbach] which comes with an extra pair of wooden sprint wheels and three extra chainrings. Like my 1928 Buckley Bros. trike, this uses an Abingdon fixed differential.

I'm not sure whether it's a taper-tube, but if it is, that would be an extra bonus. The seller has history on the trike as to who purchased it and who owned it throughout it's life. It's truly an original "barn-fresh" find as it was stored by it's second owner in 1958.

I have been spending some time with the seller arranging shipment via e-mail. My experience with the Buckley helped me coach the seller through disassembling the trike. These old Abingdon diff. trikes break down and can easily fit into a standard bike box [which is one of the reasons they are so appealing to me from an import/shipping standpoint!].

I hope to put together some photos of its unpacking and the process of making it road-ready. It appears to have the original finish and decals intact and I will make every effort to retain it's originality.

Cheers,

Marc St. Martin Livermore, CA

P.S., I'll be looking for trike riders at Velo Rendezvous!
