"What was the brand of bike you made (make?) Forbes?"
Hi Chuck,
I worked for Moots in the 80s. I left about a year or two before they went from steel to titanium. I was there when they switched from lugged and fillet-brazed steel to TIG welding.
In the early 90s, I built a few frames on my own, under the name "Valhalla Technologies." They had an epoxied aluminum main triangle and a brazed steel rear triangle. It was lots of fun, but I got sucked into the world of electric vehicle R&D soon after that. I haven't worked with bicycles since (professionally) other than a one-year stint as product engineer at Charger Electric Bicycles.
Yours,
Forbes Bagatelle-Black Santa Clarita, CA
