Not quite...I believe the Universal levers have the distinction the
_lightest_ drop-bar brake levers ever. They certainly were back in
the day. Possibly also the most fragile too...

As are almost anything else. I used the Universal levers for quite a while myself...fortunately I've got very long fingers, but unfortunately they're not very strong.
Then I "upgraded" to very early Moldolo aero levers, which turned out to be even worse! The lever blades were so narrow they hurt my fingers.
(Not to be confused with modern aero levers from Campagnolo, Shimano and Tektro/Cane Creek, which work _much_ better than _any_ old style exposed-cable levers.)
