I would like to thank all CR'ers who responded to my request for information on the US bicycle boom of the early 1970s. It has certainly opened my eyes to the wealth of information available from this group. I have just bought an Ernie Clements Ercall frame and forks off eBay after it failed to reach reserve. Apart from a single US bidder I was the only one to show any interest. The best thing about an interest in 'non-fashionable' makers is that are CHEAP and good. On the other hand I have a theory that eBay is best for buying in summer and selling in winter.
