Subject: [CR]Members List Etiquette

I thought posted this last evening when the subject was raised but failed to appear on issues 82-85 dated 19th.inst. So trying again here goes. Sorry about that!

Jack/Dale

I have often posed the question myself as to whether a word of thanks should be forthcoming from someone seeking certain information. I like others spend a great deal of time off list trying to describe in detail certain and sometimes complex issues raised by members also to include pictures.

I personally think a thankyou should be be sent direct at some time if only to confirm they even received their mail. Sometimes I despair at peoples manners especially at times when one specifically asks for confirmation for some reason or another. Both in helping and selling there seems to be alot of take and nothing given in return. In my book too many timewasters and I often wonder if they were treated the same way how would they feel, very angry no doubt when the shoes on the other foot!

My dear Mother used to install on us kids "it costs nothing to say thankyou"

Thankyou
