Hi, My circa 1948 Paris lugless frame has all maner of paint effects including fades (Flamboyant red over silver) , panels, bands, pin stripes, wraparound transfers on head and seat tube panels , stuff that looks like marquetry - a transfer behind the head tube, and yes, stencilled writing that runs the length of the top tube and down tube. If it was restored no one would believe it was like this originally so it wont be restored. The stencilling is sprayed through a mask as Norris describes. Top tube reads; 'Course route type professionel PARIS' Down tube ; 'velos PARIS course tourisme autogene' both in blue and white fades over the red.
She's a fancy one! Fitted with an Osgear.
