Thank you to Mr. Kohler and everyone else answered my PX-10 questions. I guess it's obvious why I asked. I had a chance at these beauty so I jumped on it.

It's a 1972 PX-10 purchased at the famous Wastyn shop here in chicago. It's a large frame, measuring 25 inches center to top. I did manage to take a for a quick spin but I had to wear my cup! just kidding. It appears to be absolutely original except for the wheels. The frame is very clean overall. There is a small chip on the seat tube but I'm sure that could be touched up. Other than that the paint is in fantastic shape. Even the top tube is super clean, no signs of rust caused by sweat, or even from the cable clamps. The decals appear to be all there, and in very good condition, even the wastyn decal. All of the components are in very nice shape as well. The stronglight crankset is very grimy and needs to be taken apart to get the dust and grease off of it. The brooks saddle looks fantastic, no cracking, hardly any wear at all. It does have the simplex badged seat post. Derailleurs still shift crisply. The brakes squeal like no other but they're mafac. Even the handlebar wrap seems to be original an is in great shape, still have the velox plugs as well. Unfortunately when I bought it the original wheels were long gone, so I'm assuming the purchaser really won't want the set pictured as one is a 27 inch and the other is a 700c. The freewheel is a cyclo competition, I'm not sure if that could be original but if it is I'll include it. The serial number plate is still attatched to the botto bracket

Let me know if you want the original picture files, since yahoo shrinks pics. I'll answer any questions I can about the bike. I'm asking 350.00 shipped. I believe this is a fair price. I apologize if this seems a bit much. I've never really dealt with PX-10's before. I've checked ebay and there hasn't been a ton of PX-10 traffic lately. I'll tell you the way I arrived at my price. It seems 150.00 for a clean Px=10 frame is the average, then if you start adding all of the parts: clean brooks pro, simplex seat post, stronglight crankset, the simplex super competition derailleurs. It seems like a fair number. I'm not sure how much the wastyn connection helps. I know bikes tend to be worth more in parts then as a whole but even so it seems fair to me but if I'm wrong please feel free to tell me offlist. I would also consider a frame for frame trade for a px-10 in my size or any interesting english frames in my size: 53-56cm

thanks
