Riccardo Bulissimo asks:

snip<I am slowly getting my oldest Orange Cinelli back together and when I went out to see what tt clamps I had set aside, they they were: nice old chrome steel.....with very short bolts!

Was this common practice among you other Prodotti Oldfarti's? > end snip

Hey, I resemble that remark! Yes, my friends and I used to cut all those protrusions as well, but for weight savings, not safety. Of course, adding that little touch of frame color coordinated paint on the cut edge brought the weight right back. Ah, vanity...

Cheers, Mark (vain?) Ritz Arcata, CA where it's getting ready to rain again!
