I drove over with CR member Chris Cleveland, and shared 6 tables with CR member Greg Parker http://www.bicycleclassics.com and CR member Scott Davis, (Scotto Davisu) http://www.sdbicyclegarage.com . Saw many CR members, Keith Hellon, David Cooper, Tom Hayes, John Thompson, Peter Gilbert, Richard Cielec, Peter Naimen, Jeff, Daryl, Scot, Geno, John, and others- I've missed a bunch.
There isn't any question that this swap meet is the third biggest and best in the US, behind the Denver and S.F. Veloswap. The vendors were allowed in at 8:00 am and there were so many Brazen Dropouts there volunteering that Chris and I had two approach us and insist that they help us load in! unprecedented...
The sign of a good swap meet is when a guy can make several passes down an isle, and see something new and interesting each time. Cane Creek dude Peter Gilbert made the buy of the show- essentially NOS Campagnolo "con dente" toothed track pedals- see pic below.
