Jerry Moos said: "In the mid-70's to mid-80's a lot of bikes, at least in the US, were sold with "Super Record reduced" groups. This usually meant all SR except for SL pedals in place of SR, NR BB (steel axle) in place of SR (Ti axle) and the hubs, I believe, were properly called just Record. "

Good to hear your memory is still working Jerry. I bought a bike that was advertised from the manufacturer of having a Super Record Reduced group, but it also had Record, not Super Record, derailleurs and headset.

An exchange from the archives on this subject in July 2002 from Chuck Schmidt, answering Jerry Moos is here:

Jerry, the Campagnolo catalogs refer to what you're describing above as a "Super Record - Steel" or "Super Record - Reduced" group. This would be a Super Record group with the substitution of Nuovo Record BB and SL pedals. So a proper term for this already exists.

And an "all Super Record" bike would be exactly that! In other words, it would have an SR bottom bracket and SR pedals.
