is this a mod. 52 crank?

I compared it to the Models 53, 54 and 55 but none of them have the octagonal taper this one does. It reads Verot Perrin in back and does not say "competition" in the top line of the stamp. There is a picture of a similar crankarm on the CR site but no caption. Thanks, kim
