Has a timeline been put together regarding frame evolution. When did the in itial "extra" braze-ons begin to displace the clamp on everything frameset. Perhaps what maker brought out the feature, what year, and then when it be came a standard. When did the cable stops go from the top of the chainstay to underneath? From clamp-on bottom bracket cable guides to braze-on on top to under bottom bracket routing? Shifter braze-ons? What year did bottle c ages go from the handlebars to clamped on the down tube to single set of br aze-ons on down tube to a pair of them? First year for recessed brake mount ing?.....Anyway, you get the idea! We can give credit to the inovative make rs and be beter able to date the unknown frames we all love to find.
