After the emails about making/rolling your own, I thought a couple of you might want to see the first and only frame and forks I made. Back in 1987 I spent the week at Scott Paisley's shop in Faber, Va. Hung out in a hammock strung between trees behind his house overnight. I worked about 45 hours to finish the frame prior to painting by Franklin frames (I opted for the cheap paintjob I am afraid....paint's too thick in general). I was quite handy with hacksaws, machine tools etc, but didn't have much prior exposure to OA brazing. Scott helped me out with the final construction details to help me finish by the end of the week. To this day I still love just looking at this bike, with its vey tight clearances, multiple internal cable routings, and originally fabricated wishbone rear. It rides very nicely too. Most of the geometry is just a tweak or 2 away from a '74 Raleigh Pro I had at the time, and some of the componentry also from that bike.

Pics are in the Grey Road Bike folder, if this link doesn't take you straight to it. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/neill1234/album?.dir=cccbre2&.src=ph&st ore=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/neill1234/my_pho tos
