The Sirius was made at least in 1982-83. Rivendell came after Bridgestone, so Rivendell didn't inspire the Sirius model. I believe when Grant Peterson spoke at Cirque, he told us that he was Director for U.S. Bridgestone Operations at the time they shutdown their U.S. operations. I don't know whether he was with them in 82-83. I also vaguely recall a story that he asked Bridgestone to build a bike for the U.S. high end market and that was the RB-1. Lou Deeter, usually in Orlando FL but on temporary assignment in sunny southern New Mexico.

Folks,

Can someone tell me when my Bridgestone "Sirrius" was made? Was it Rivendell inspired, like the RB-1? Or did Rivendell have anything to do with the RB-1? I got it when Ralph Carnevale closed his shop in CA.

Also, what was the idea behind the "Vetta Box"? Besides pissing off the current cat 5 racer types, this 12" x 8" plastic box that goes on my rear rack seems to have limited use. Besides, they crack really easily.
