Subject: [CR]Paramount track bike recently on E-Bay

Folks, could I suggest that folks concerned about the paint on this frame make respectful enquiry of Bob Freeman? He is a great guy and I had the chance to have dinner with him a few years ago at Cirque (the night of the famous Ladies Food Fight in the Mexican restaurant, I believe...The next year the restaurant had closed its' doors...or heard we were coming back to town :^)), and found him to be great company. Frankly, although some express reservations about the thickness of the paint, it does not look too bad to me. Paramount factory paint does tend to be a bit thicker than say Italian paint, anyway. The bike was rechromed, too.
I think someone paid a bit too much for it, but that is really their affair and they got a nice bike. Some of the very folks raising a clamor over the price paid have been known to pay surprisingly high prices for bikes themselves that set many of us all a twitter at the time. I am a bit concerned over the lack of Bob's feelings in this whole affair. It is easy to do damage to other member's feelings when everyone jumps on a bandwagon of criticism.
