Subject: [CR]50's ~ 60's British Bike rear dropout spacings ???

My 50's Hobbs has rear dropout spacing of 114mm.

That seems an odd size to me for a freewheel hub bike.

Is my frame out of alignment or was it designed for a three speed hub?

Anybody know what the rear dropout spacings were on post war British bikes?
