I'd be amazed if a Schwinn had a French BB. However, as a further check, Sutherland's 3rd Edition, 1981, lists Nervar English BB cups as having one ring inscribed into the face of the cup, while Nervar French cups have no rings. Nervar Italian cups had two rings.
