     The rear-most guides for the rear brake's cable guides look very un-Colnago like to me. but who can say for sure?
     As for the supposed Alan Peiper connection... I'm sure there are thousands for stories like this one in Belgium. Also, the shift levers are Simplex, perhaps made for French bosses. If you can see this bike again, you might remove a lever to see if the bosses are Italian or French style.
     By the way, it seems as though every racing bike for sale in Belgium comes with a repainted frame and some sort of "story". Is that really the case?
