Subject: [CR]Huret Jubilee Introduction Date?

Peter,

http://www.classicrendezvous.com/France/Huret/huret_jubilee_rear.htm If it's the Jubilee that looks like the one above, then I'm certain it was available before 1973. I had a college friend whose Raleigh came with this derailleur and some sort of Stronglight-ish crankset. This would have been during 1971, perhaps late in the year. It's funny - I remember certain details of that bicycle quite clearly, including when I first saw it. But having gone to high school in Manahattan, I felt duty bound to disdain anything other than an Atala, Frejus or LeJeune. (I know I was being weird.) So there were some details on this bike that I simply missed. The derailleur, though, was unmistakeble since it looked so different than the Campagnolo and Simplex pieces that I considered to be "correct". Cheers, Fred Rednor - now in Arlington, Virginia (USA)
