For a Confente Masi, Immaculate! Item number: 160042898802

seller states,"I'm selling my very rare 1972 Masi Gran Criterium built in Verona, Italy by Mario Confente just before he left for Carlsbad California to help set up a Masi factory there. One can easily appreciate the thinned lugs, long seat stay inserts and beautiful cutout lugwork. There is a letter from Brian Baylis authenticating this fact included in the auction and also two documents from Masi concerning Air France shipping, etc. One is in Italian and signed. The bike was repainted by Baylis in correct Team Sommantana Gelati colors using original varnish and fixed decals. All new old stock parts were used for the rebuild including a Nuovo Record Campy group, old logo Martano rims, Cinelli (Milano) stem and bars (Giro with the engraved crest), Regina Oro 13-21 freewheel, Regina chain, Italian team Hutchinson tires, Cinelli Unicanitor saddle, REG bottle cage, Christophe Special toe clips and Binda straps. I glued the tires and have put on less than 50 miles. Not a scratch anywhere. It is completely immaculate. Seat tube is 56 c-t, top tube is 56 c-c. There are few now, will never be more and they are appreciating. Free shipping in CONUS.'' Is above correct Charles Nighbor Walnut Creek, CA Nice hike in hills today
