Hi Kurt,

This is very interesting. Let me pause the movie ("Kramer vs. Kramer".)
I am looking at the 1982 Campagnolo catalog. -On page 4 you will see the Super Rec group with post #4051/1 (Nuovo Super Record Seatpost.) -On page 5 you will see the Nuovo Rec group with what appears to be the identical post but with part #1044 (Record Seatpost.) -On page 6 you will see the Gran Sport Road Group with post #3800.
-Turning to page 34, you will see three seat posts. The following models are listed at the top of the page: 1044, 3800, and 4051/1. There are three photos of seatposts below. First post is 3800 Gran Sport two-bolt style, next photo is 1044 Nuovo Record two-bolt style, and the post on the far right is 4051/1 Super Record single bolt style.
Could Campagnolo have put the wrong photo (a photo of a Super Record post) on page 5 in with the Nuovo Record group?
I think so.
Take a look at the 1984 catalog. You will notice that the problem has been corrected.
I have no idea as to what the difference is between the Gran Sport and Nuovo Record seat posts.
