Hello everyone -
I have an update for everyone planning on doing the vintage ride on Sunday morning. Bradley Woehl is expecting the ride to start from American Cyclery on Sunday morning, so here is the plan:
Those who would like to meet at American Cyclery on Frederick St. in San Francisco should meet there at 9:30am on Sunday morning. I believe Bradley will have the shop open, in case anyone needs to use the WC or fill up on water.
Prompt departure from American Cyclery at 10:00 am. Ride on Stanyan Street, through the Presidio, across the Golden Gate Bridge, into Sausalito, and arrive at the Sausalito heliport at ~10:45am. Regroup with those starting from Sausalito, brief introductions and departure from Heliport parking lot at 11:00am. Several of you have done this ride before, so there should not be a shortage of people who know the route.
Paradise Drive loop, back to Tiburon, and the SF Crowd can either take the ferry across the Bay to SF, or ride back across the bridge.
If you need directions to American Cyclery:
Plenty of parking near American Cyclery in the adjacent lot or on the street.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the ride, but Peter will be there. I know you're going to have a great day together. This is one of the most beautiful rides in the Bay Area. Rain cancels.
Please arrive at American Cyclery no later than 9:45am and at the Sausalito heliport by 10:45am.
