Subject: [CR]French Crankset models - single chainring

Hello,

I have a five speed with a single chainring and a cottered crankset. I am interested in learning about the common/available French cranksets from the sixties/seventies that were made specifically for a single chainring. I understand tracksets are single, but were there common usage cranksets for singles? Which models? Stonglight? TA? Others?

Ultimately I'd like to buy a nice Phil bottom bracket with swiss cups for my old bike and have a nice French crankset to replace the nameless and worn cottered set that is currently on it.

Thanks.
