Subject: [CR]Campagnolo Chain Rings

I know that early Nuovo Record big chain rings are inscribed with "Patent Campagnolo", and later ones are inscribed "Brev. Campagnolo".

I also have some late '70's rings that are pre "Brev. Campagnolo" having the chain pin and inscribed "Patent Campagnolo".

However, I recently purchased a ring with no chain pin that is inscribed "Brev. Campagnolo".

Were the chain pins only used on later US export rings and not on european rings? Or were there earlier (pre chain pin) rings inscribed with "Brev. Campagnolo"? Also, does anyone know the time line for small rings "Patent Campagnolo" , "<C>", and "Brev. Campagnolo"?

These are some of the pressing questions in my life.
