I first heard of using a torque wrench for working on motorcycle and car engines, but never on bicycles. No doubt there are torque specs for setting up air tools in the manufacturing process, but I've always found that intuition and experience worked just fine for hand tools on bicycles. I just checked my Sutherland's and could find no mention of torque for this.
