Ah Greg, you're not a hick. Out here in California we are now dealing with people who are in such a hurry that they have resorted to combining two words together to make one. People no longer speak properly here. Here are some examples I hear amonst the local cyclists:

1. "Hey Biff, my Masi has a bentspoke."

2. "Let's go to my house and eat some hotfood after the longride."

3. "I think Ron has a stifflink in his chain."

This all started with that bimbo on the Comcast commercial who says: "Let's crack open your computer and download some highspeed."

If the proper pronunciation of Miche is Me-ke, what is the proper pronunciation for Michelin? (as in Michelin tubs) Is it Me-ke-lynn?
