Subject: [CR]Build a new Campy Super Record bike today!

Hi,

Plenty of steel frames are being made, but the supply of classic parts is finite and therefore declining. The only way to build new KOF bikes in the future will be to patronize NOS suppliers and KOF parts makers (defined as making clones of period parts, either in-period, or today.) I have noticed that it seems like there are fewer spare parts outlets for "classic styles" since several large retailers have recently merged.

What is available today in current production that can be used - either for spare high-quality parts or for "visual clones" - to build a circa 1980 "campy super record-clone bicycle" ?

Here's a draft list. Please respond via email with additions, subtractions, and/or corrections, and I'll summarize on friday.
