I'd give it a few more days on the assumption that the buyer may have been out of town for Christmas and New Years. As long as you haven't shipped the bike, you're only at risk for your time and the eBay fees.

I sent a polite e-mail on day 3, reminding the "winner" that their invoice is now due & payable: no answer, yet. The erstwhile buyer is not a private party; they have a rather large e-bay store (thousands of items), and have also posted items for sale on the CR list (where I first dealt with them). It took them 15 days after my payment was sent, to ship the order I placed to them; but since the goods were as advertised (and at good prices), I decided that that the slow shipping was an anomaly that I could live with (they also have an enviably high positive feedback rating). I guess what I am asking is this: How long is long enough? At what point should I write off the sale and find another buyer? What is the accepted ettiqutte for a situation like this? I've spent many years fixing & selling bikes for a living, but this e-tail stuff is new to me, and every transaction is a learning experience...I would appreciate all tips, feedback, & comments.
