In response to the problem I described here:

John Thompson provided the trick:

Excellent advice, thanks, I will do that.
Realizing I can't find the old one I made, I ordered some tubing from Aircraft Spruce (thicker this time - .083") and I'm gonna do it right -- your way. And not lose this one. ;)
