Yes, for 1 or 2 years (?) circa 1976-77, Campy shipped Al bolts in place of Ti due to (depends on who you believe, I don't believe much of anything):
- a strike at Ti supplier joint
- a shortage of Ti (due to strike)
- they were trying to cheap out....
- the French factory tthat secretly made all Campy burnt down (OK, I got carried away on that one...)

Weren't the Campy Super Record bolts titanium, not Aluminum?
