For silver compatible flux, try Henry James. For soldiering cables, there is acid flux still avail. but one may need to go to an industrial hardware supply house. Rosin flux is most avail. and used for electrical. Cored soldier will most likely have rosin flux in the center.
Vintage Campagnolo cables had the ends dip soldiered. Hard to find a soldier pot today.
A bigger gun is needed, 800w works well, the smaller guns just do not have the power.
Take the cables out, clean thoroughly.
Masi's came crimped originally, as seen on John Barron's NOS Masi and elsewhere. To recreate, I went to a hobby shop and bought some brass tubing with an inner diameter just large enough for the cable, cut down to about 3 to 4mm long and crimped that, the cable cuffs used by Masi were not closed. For the factory effect, be sure to paint the cuff and the end of the cable.
The original cuffs were not brass, but they get painted anyway. There are limits.
