Jerry,

Yes it is indeed the 3 arm crank of which you speak and can be seen here:

I couldn't believe it myself and was surprised that the ones I bought on ebay didn't fit. I pulled one from my bike and measured it with dial calipers and was AGAIN surprised to see the .354" reading!

There was a three-arm Grand Sport crank which appeared on the Raleigh Competition GS. Are you saying it takes different size chainring bolts than the Campy NR/SR five arm cranks? That surprises me, although I learn something every day.

Hi All, =09 =09 =09
Yes, 9mm in diameter, not the normal 10mm. I have a '78 Raleigh
Competition GS. The crank is Campy but only has 3 arms, might be part of
the nuovo gran sport group (?). I've looked on ebay, shopped online,
brick & mortar bike shops - no luck. Can anyone help? It would be much
   appreciated! =09 =09 =09
Since I'm a newbie, a little about me: 52 y.o. live in bay area, my 1st
"serious" bike was a '72 Raleigh Super Course, ended up selling it in
early '80s and have missed it ever since. Bought a Peugeot PH10 to
replace it and have ridden that up until now but it just wasn't the
same. I've always lusted after a full Campy bike so finally "upgraded" =09
to a '78 Raleigh Comp GS a couple months ago and have since been picking
up parts from ebay (mostly) to bring it back to original condition. I
have learned a lot just by lurking around the archives here. Thanks for
allowing me to join the group! =09 =09 =09
