...another cool way is to use a short bit of electrical shrink tube ( cheap and readlily available at Radio Shack, Home Depot). Slide a 5 mm section, and (tho not really proper) wave a Bic Lighter underneath for a second or two and you have a pretty classy look.
( tho I will hunt down the solder Hugh Enox suggested as I too prefer the permanence of solder & have been frustrated so far. Thanks Hugh.)
No relation to Radio Shack, Home Depot or Bic. or Hugh Enox for that matter tho I have used his latex for decades.
