I think most of you are missing the point, The average American dosen't care about cycling. Anybody can get together for a game of touch football, an empty field for baseball or soccer, most cycling requires an effort. An out lay of funds well beyond buying a baseball or football. How many of you get up in the morning to go for a ride and waste time deciding what costume you will wear today?

I know there are a lot of forums on the internet concerning bikes, but I think that the twelve hundred or so members of this list are it for classic "pre '84 " bikes. How many of that number actually contribute to the list, thirty or thirty five?

When I first discovered the List, I thought, this must be just one of many forums on the internet, nope it's just us. Generally the money WE spend or don't spend determines how profitable the custom frame builders are.

As far as Brians comment on Rivendells lugs, I don't think they are quite hideous, but they sure don't please my eye, the extended head lug is especially pointless. As I have said in the past, why don't you just buy a 1CM bigger frame.

Ok, done for now.
