Well, Ray Dobbins, in case you're taking a poll, maybe "hideous" is too strong a word, but I wouldn't call Rivendell lugs particularly attractive.

And unlike Phil, even if I agreed with Brian's opinion, I do not believe that Brian is in a better position than anybody on this list to decide what is pretty and what is ugly, be it in a lug or a Hawaiian shirt :)
